20 January 2026

Last year, Magnetic Fields announced its departure from its flagship grounds of Alsisar, where it had hosted 10 editions since 2013, to start a new chapter in Rajasthan's Abheygarh Khetri with 'Nomads'. The lineup has just been announced for Nomads, which takes place on February 13-15.

The 3-day event splits its musical acts across 8 different stages and offers further experiential offerings across its palatial venue. The former boasts of an ambient and downtempo stage which will feature a mix of unhurried live and DJ sets from the likes of Nigeria's Akanbi, Thailand's Sunju Hargun, India's own Fursat FM, Tyrell Dub Corp and pause.dxa, and British-Berlin club music royalty Barker.

Another of the UK's influential electronica act Rival Consoles is included on the lineup as he performs his AV set at Nomads' Jameson Connects West Stage alongside a full live band of Auntie Flo, Taiwanese indie act Whyte and "The Hendrix of the Sahara" Vieux Farka Touré, who returns after performing at Magnetic Fields' Alsisar outing in 2022. Homegrown talents like Karshni will make the live debut of her upcoming EP 'Buck Wild' while Curtain Blue will present his upcoming magnum opus 'Kesar', alongside performances by Rounak Maiti, Ranj x Clifr and sudan. Murthovic and Thiruda will bring back their music-meets-digital art project Elsewhere In India with a special show 'Jal, Jungle, Zameen', collaborating with folk musicians Gopika Jairam, Sawai Khan Manganiyar, Roshan Khan Manganiyar, Jakir Khan Manganiyar and Dilip Khan Manganiyar, as well as using archival and ethnomusicological footage from the region to shed light on local heritage and its relevance in changing ecologies.

Folk music will also be represented at the Ray-Ban Puqaar stage where a variety of traditional music will be represented through the group The Art Of Qawwali and spiritual folk project Sahaja, who perform on the stage alongside ambient electronica-meets-live instrumentation collective Yakh Basta.

The festival's crowd-favourite stage for golden hour rooftop sets carries over to Nomads as Corona Sundowner, which will feature live performances from UK underground's 1-800 GIRLS and New Delhi's Film alongside a set by Ravi Rajpal aka Majestic 88. Ravi also brings over his fashion and cultural experience platform Disco>ery to the festival with a showcase at BUDx Yurt, a stage inspired by the circular tents of Central Asian nomadic groups. The showcase will feature New Delhi's Fringe Mechanics and DITA alongside a B2B set between Wonderfruit Festival-associated figures Emel and Ouissam. The stage will also see a B2B set between Jay Drive and Direct Drive and selections from Akanbi and Refuge Worldwide's No Plastic.

Other selectors on the lineup include Canada's D. Tiffany, Brooklyn's DJ SWISHA, Amsterdam's Elias Mazian, NYC-based Kim Ann Foxman, Portugal's Mafalda, Australia's Kia, and Bangalore's Tonkatsukitty who will perform at the festival's dance music-focused BUDx East Stage. The Jameson Connects Club will also explore club-oriented sounds with an all-nighter set from London's Maze alongside another by Bristol's Daisy Moon, while Egyptian-Australian selector moktar and Goa's Squidworks share duties on Saturday night.

Nomads also carries over the Ray-Ban Easy Picnic stage as a space for daytime extended journeys curated by reputed crate diggers, as it hosts New Delhi's Antariksh Daddy and Jogita alongside Daisy Moon and No Plastic.

No Plastic also brings Refuge Worldwide to the festival to host listening sessions, storytelling and conversations as part of 'In Tune', one of the experiential offerings on the lineup alongsides the wellness space Magnetic Sanctuary, the gastronomical experience Chef's Table by Hoegaarden, a story-led walk through the village of Khetri called Moving Stories, and other workshops and installations rooted in clay, scent, writing and more.
