Dolorblind Unveils New EP With Single 'NRG (feat. Rounak Maiti)'
19 February 2026
Rohan Sinha aka Dolorblind has just released the single 'NRG' to unveil his upcoming EP 'No Signal', which releases on March 6.
Named after the blue screen on old televisions when the signal is lost, Dolorblind introduced the EP as an A/V performance at Magnetic Fields Festival 2023 where he was joined in part by Mumbai-based singer-songwriter and hip-hop outfit Excise Dept-member Rounak Maiti to create a combination of nostalgia and dystopia. "The sound draws from my interest in how technology gains emotional value as it ages," The New Delhi and Bangalore-based producer explains, “Initially, that attachment is missing, but as it gets older, it starts to reflect its era and evoke nostalgia."
Rounak also joins Dolorblind on the track as the pair begin with a pattering of soft synth and vocal collages for a lulling and slightly saccharine first half reminiscent of indie electronica. The style recalibrates with the introduction of a mildly glitched-out groove, eventually wearing the influence of the West Coast beat scene on its sleeve as it bridges the two styles effortlessly in a refreshing combination.
Dolorblind also marks the release of the EP with a 5-city India tour.
