Zokhuma, Hiranya, Æ:M & More Release New Hypnotic Techno As Part Of 'DHĀRAŅĀ'

10 June 2026

Producers-led Mumbai label Sonic Perceptions just released the new composition 'DHĀRAŅĀ', focused primarily on hypnotic techno.

As you'd expect from such a dedication, the bulk of the 17-track release comes with atonal disjointed textures reverberating into the ether, the auditory equivalents of hallucinations. A few tracks manage to standout from blurring into the genre-proprietary elements, the low-end push and pull of SHFT's 'Dance of the Fireflies' and Hiranya's 'Primordial State'. Zequenx's and Aumsounds kick of rolling basslines that speed up into trance territory before Æ:M's metallic rhythms slow things down. The following 'Cadence' by Vedik along with the pacy dub techno 'Dub Thunder' by Anejath specially set themselves apart as they leave the aforementioned auditory hallucinations, which over the 17 tracks begin to blend together as a low-hanging effort to reach the "hypnotic". They instead choose a more primal early techno sound reminiscent of the gritty minimal Detroit branch of the genre.
