Dixon, Trikk & More To Perform At Sunburn Beach Club
10 December 2020
Last month, Asia’s largest music festival Sunburn had to retract its decision of going ahead with a 3-day on-ground festival in 2020 at 20% capacity. The EDM festival soon followed it with announcements of Sunburn Academy, an online course around music, events and content – the details of which are yet to be announced – and Sunburn Beach Club, a new multi-level venue on its home turf of Vagator Beach.
Meanwhile, alongside the return of limited capacity live music shows around the country, December will also see multi-day lineups with Earthen and Cymbal – the latter returning as a series of events at special sites after its awaited inaugural edition had to be cancelled in light of the coronavirus outbreak earlier this year.
Marking another notable step in India’s live music industry’s re-emergence with the return of international heavyweights gracing its decks, the newly opened Sunburn Beach Club will host Innervisons label-head and prominent DJ Dixon, and prolific label-mate Trikk alongside a wide array of Indian acts on December 12 and 13. Featuring an art market alongside stages for deep house, progressive house, techno and reggae with showcases from Mixmag and Milkman, the lineup for the multi-day event will include Ankytrixx, Answer, Whosane, Blurry Slur, Likwid, Anushka, Deep Brown, Kayan, Monophonik, Rafiki, Spacejams, Naaman, Diversion Ahead., Rudy Roots and Sanyas-I.
Like most of the events around the country, some of which require prior submission of recent COVID test reports, Sunburn Beach Club has announced that it will keep the recommended safety measures in place and monitor its limited guest list.
