Teddy Boy Kill Releases New Single - 'The Stuff'

22 September 2014

Electro imprint Teddy Boy Kill is set to release their latest album titled Dead Pixel this October. The duo consists of Toymob a.k.a Ashar F + Audio Pervert a.k.a Samrat B and they’ve given listeners a little idea of what to expect, releasing a single from the album, titled ‘The Stuff’ – a bold earworm of a track with a high energy beat and infectious vocals.

It’s great to welcome back TBK’s subversive, rebellious, assault of noise – they’ve always known exactly how to mix genres like punk, rock, electronica and dance with dexterity in an age where the Indian alternative electronic space is dominated either by pretty, tinkering pop influenced aesthetics or beatport inspired dance music.

The theme behind ‘The Stuff’ isn’t difficult to decipher and the lyrics have a dark comic quality to them. This track is strictly after-hours listening and combines classic analogue sounds with a heavy dose of disco. Its vigorous synths and booming vocals make for some solid sounds which we’d be keen to hear live.

The full LP will be released this October, available for free download (of course). You can follow Teddy Boy Kill on Facebook for more information and updates, and on SoundCloud to listen to their previous work. Watch a video of a fantastic live performance here and listen to ‘The Stuff’ below:
