Hip-hop and breakdancing legend Crazy Legs (also known as Richard Colón) is set to tour India at the end of the month.

With a career that spans over 3 decades, Crazy Legs is one of the world's biggest names in breakdancing and is currently president (and only original member) of the internationally renowned Rock Steady Crew. Today he is also involved in community outreach, dance instruction and dance theatre productions. His pioneering status is also reflected in his appearances in fiction films and documentaries both old and new.

The legendary Rock Steady Crew (RSC) was founded in the Bronx, in the late 70s by Bboys including Jimmy Dee, Joe Joe, Jimmy Lee and Easy Mike. Only the best Bboys were in RSC and the only way to get in the crew was to battle a member. It was a competition that few won. Crazy Legs battled his way into the crew at the tender age of 12. In 1979, after his family relocated from the Bronx to Manhattan, Crazy Legs sought and eventually received permission to establish a Rock Steady Crew chapter in his new borough. RSC will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

TV channel 9XO and online hip-hop portal Zomba have brought Crazy Legs over for a 6 day tour between 25 June – 1 July for a series of workshops and gigs in Mumbai and Delhi. Watch this space for further details.
