Listen: Generation Bass - The Origins of Dubstep

26 April 2012

In 2002 the term dubstep was first used by US mag XLR8R. Since then it has no doubt come a long way arguably becoming one of the fastest and widest growing genres of our time.

BBC Radio 1’s MistaJam recently aired an hour long radio doc on bass music and the origins of dubstep. The documentary features interviews with artists that have helped shape the bass music scene such as Skream, Mosca, Mount Kimbie, Digital Mystikz, Skrillex and many more.

An essential listen for bass lovers with India even getting a fleeting mention.
