India's First Nomination At The MTV Europe Music Awards

Scribe is a hardcore/metal band that over the years has built itself a solid reputation as one of the most technically proficient bands within India's underground metal scene.

Today news came through that the Mumbai based band has been nominated in the Best Worldwide Act category at the MTV EMA 2011, marking them as the first ever Indian band to be nominated for the award.

Voting is open until 4 November and the winners will be announced on 6 November when the EMAs air live. We've been told that votes are unlimited, so if you're a big enough fan, keep refreshing and clicking!

Since its inception in 1994, the MTV EMA has established a reputation as one of the most sensational music award shows in the world. Past EMA performers have included artists from the worlds of hip-hop, rock and pop such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Green Day, Shakira, Kanye West, Kings of Leon and U2. This year the awards are being held in Belfast and will be hosted by American actress/singer Selena Gomez.
