A Brief Guide To Circoloco Mumbai
1 April 2026
Later this month, Ibiza-born brand Circoloco arrives in India for the first time with a day-long event at Mumbai's Jio World Garden on April 19.
Circoloco first started at Ibiza's DC-10 nightclub as an afterparty on a Monday before gradually becoming a name with an earnest audience and eventually, a global brand doing collaborations with fashion brands likd Off-White and Adidas, as well as starting CircoLoco Records with Rockstar Games. The party built this off an ethos of prioritising stripped-back productions that focus on long sets from handpicked sound-first artists than spectacle.
Their Mumbai outing reflects a similar approach, bringing a concise array of headliner-level artists than a sprawling lineup. The focus has been on stylistic cohesion while bringing together artists who are modern-day frontrunners right at the cusp of underground house and adjacent techno styles.
"The idea was very clear from the start: if Circoloco debuts in India, it must be led by voices actively defining the future of the scene. The lineup reflects exactly that," says Arjun Nair of Sound Simplify, the organisers bringing Circoloco to India.
The April 19 show will feature Michael Bibi, a leading new figure in contemporary tech-house who rose to prominence through his Solid Grooves collective. The London-born DJ starting shaping the UK’s underground house sound in the late 2010s with stripped-back grooves, rolling basslines and marathon club sets which has resulted in some of the most-talked about sets at Circoloco's Ibiza parties.
He will be joined by Chris Stussy, another prominent member of a new wave of house artists. Known for his warm analogue textures, minimal-leaning rhythms and jazz-inflected groove sensibility, the Dutch act has become one of the most sought-after DJs in Europe even as he chooses subtlety and building groove over big room-drops. His sets often lean toward extended blends and rolling momentum, aligning closely with the long-form ethos of the Circoloco dancefloor.
Rounding up the names of rising artists in the global house music, Mau P (formerly known as Maurice West) joins the lineup, bringing the crossover appeal through his blend of punchy basslines and crisp percussion with vocal hooks. Mau P broke into the international spotlight with the club hit 'Drugs From Amsterdam', a track that quickly became a fixture in festival and club sets around the world. Within the context of the Circoloco lineup, he represents the new generation of producers pushing house music toward wider audiences while maintaining club energy.
The house heads will be joined by European club circuit veteran and enduring Circoloco veteran Marco Carola. Emerging from Naples’ techno scene in the 1990s, Carola became known for his relentless three-deck mixing style and marathon sets that can stretch for hours while maintaining tightly locked grooves. Over decades he has moved fluidly between techno and tech-house while maintaining a reputation for impeccable technical precision.
The lineup will be completed by Jamback bringing groove-heavy approach to tech-house. As the most emerging act on the bill, completes the mix of veterans with up-and-coming acts.
"Circoloco coming to India isn’t just another large-format event. It represents a deeper cultural shift," continues Arjun. "India is currently at an inflection point where audiences are evolving beyond headline-driven festivals and leaning into more curated, culture-led experiences. The arrival of a brand like Circoloco signals a move towards that next phase – where credibility, curation and global underground culture begin to play a more defining role."
