Ditty Releases New Single 'So Real' From Upcoming Album 'KALI'

New Delhi-born now Berlin-based artist Ditty has just released 'So Real', her latest single from the upcoming album 'KALI'.

While the album marks Ditty's venture into bi-lingual writing, as signalled by the September 2024 ethereal Hindi track 'AZADI', 'So Real' sees the singer-songwriter and environmentalist turn to the intimate English poetry and delicate-to-rousing melodies to offer a romantic number.

"The surrealism of falling in love always inspires me to rediscover myself — this song is about a past love that encouraged me to find out who I wanted to be," says Ditty.

While Ditty's intimate writing style and sparse arrangements are primed for romantic numbers and some of her most popular work fall into that category, love songs are still occasional fares for the singer-songwriter who mostly deals with a combination of personal reflection and social themes. In contrast, 'So Real' paints a picture of grounded moments that assume a larger relevance in the context of the love and transformation surrounding them.
