Lotus Flower's 'Wilting' Deals In End, Renewal & Impending Fear Around It With Its Music Video

Currently Berlin-based, Ahmedabad-born singer-songwriter Shriraj Sagara aka Lotus Flower has just released a music video for his single 'Wilting'. A remarkable production created with the help of his brother and filmmaker Shantanu Sagara along with family and friends, the DIY video expounds upon Shriraj's wails about defiance in the face of hurt and grief.

As the beds of strings under the falsetto vocals distort, the video's flower-covered protagonist moves from running from danger to being grieved in a scene inspired by Hindu cremation before emerging anew as an act of rebirth. While DIY in its ethos by the artist's admission, the video is at par with some of the best works out there owing to a high-quality execution of an intriguing idea wherein even the expressions of amused on-lookers of the music video shoot become a character to the narrative – more glaring smiles apathetically watching on a hurt figure run in fear.

Watch the music video for 'Wilting' below and follow Lotus Flower and Shantanu Sagara for more.
