Ramya Pothuri Releases 'we never even knew what we were' Ahead Of EP

Previously Mumbai and now L.A.-based artist Ramya Pothuri just released the last single, entitled 'we never even knew what we were', from her upcoming 6-track EP 'hazy' which comes out in May.

One of the finest displays of her voice's ability to go from yearning to gently assured, as well as Ramya's ability to tell a story through conversational lyrics, the single puts lo-fi hip-hop and R&B timbres over rhythms found in blues ballads. Dialling up the drama of recollecting a relationship that was hard to define, the vocal layers take off into extended harmonies for the bridge before giving the attention away to the warm synth textures that enhance one of the artist's most emotionally cohesive songs.
