Applications Open For Converse Road To Rubber Tracks

1 February 2016

Converse Road To Rubber Tracks is back in India to hunt for the best unsigned musical talent the country has to offer. Like the first edition last year, the platform will provide the selected artist or band the opportunity to record their music at their famed Brooklyn studio of the same name for free.

One band from each city will also get a taste of what it’s like to record their track at a studio in their hometown, before heading to Mumbai for the 2016 finale. Band favorites will then battle it out in front of the crowd for the opportunity to travel to and record at Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn, NY.

The applications for Converse Rubber Tracks are open to musicians from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Guwahati. Chennai based alternative rock band The F16’s won the competition last year and came back with positive feedback. Delhi’s Prateek Kuhad was selected to record as part of the Converse Rubber Tracks Global Studios program.

“Fully equipped with the best instruments and equipment supplied by Converse Rubber Tracks partner Guitar Center, artists will spend time creating their work and in the end retain all the rights to their music. Through Converse Rubber Tracks, Converse is giving back to the creative community that has embraced the brand throughout its 108-year history. Converse Rubber Tracks provides a platform for artists to unleash their creative spirit that will change the world.” - Converse

Applications are open from 29 January till 10 February. Visit the Rubber Tracks website for more and register your act here.
