MTV India & Pepsico Launch New Channel

The alternative scene in India is definitely making its presence felt with more and more corporates devising business strategies around it. Two such corporates are Pepsico and MTV India, who have recently joined hands to launch Pepsi MTV Indies, a youth-centric channel that will have content related to independent music, theatre, cinema, comedy and more.

While Pepsico will be the title sponsor for three years, the channel will be available across all DTH and cable operators with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. Their recently launched website has reviews, news, photos, videos and updates; content about other art forms will be included soon. The sleek platform also has the facility for users to create their own playlists, you can buy tickets for gigs around the country and they’ve pulled out all the stops for the launch with a mobile app for Android and iOS platforms.
