Gig Preview: Tritha at Bakheda

14 November 2013

Delhi has needed a space like Bakheda for a long time now – a decent sized shell run by like minded people who simply want to explore a variety of performance and exhibition options. It is beautiful in its simplicity and stands out from other spaces in the city with the curators slowly building up the momentum of events they are hosting. We get the feeling that this is going to turn into a lovely hub for local artists/creative/performers.

This Sunday 17 November will see the doors open or rather shutter roll up for an gig with one of Delhi’s most exciting acts: Tritha Electric. Back from a summer touring across Europe she is now dashing around the country on a 10 city ‘Pagli’ tour.

This will be an intimate environment to witness what will no doubt be a great gig. The band describe their sound as 'ethnopunk' harnessing a unique combination of classical and punk styles into a live show - if you haven't seen the very brilliant video for Pagli, check it out here.
