India's Latest Festival Offering: Ruins Of The Renaissance

10 May 2013

Art and science meet with equal representation at India’s latest festival offering curiously titled ‘Ruins Of The Renaissance’. Taking place between 25-26 May 2013 at the 30 acre strong Innovative Film City in Bangalore, it is being billed as the "Woodstock of India".

The first edition of the festival will host multiple workshops, galleries, exhibition spaces, installations, artist stalls and live performances. From macro photography to making bouncing balls, organisers aim to make all workshops and activities free where possible or with nominal fees to cover materials. ROTR will also be curating 8 themed pop-up restaurants around the site offering distinct and unique culinary experiences.

A beach party is also in the works with Arjun Vagale tipped to play the after party, there's a roller skating rink, 4D theatre, arcades, bike workshops and plenty more. We also hear Manganiyar Seduction will be performing.

Organisers are encouraging people to contact them with ideas and to find out how to further engage with the event, head to the website here for further information.
