Wild City Presents: Audio Pervert & Toymob (AV Kinect Performance) & Snowshoe (Live)

5 April 2013

Wild City is extremely proud to present a very special show at Hauz Khas Village’s Out Of The Box on April 12 2013.

After storming Bangalore’s CounterCulture this NYE with an immersive performance allowing attendees to be a part of the visual performance, we’ve invited Teddy Boy Kill’s Audio Pervert, on the cusp of releasing his eagerly awaited 20 track LP, alongside co-conspirator Toymob, to perform a kinect gesture based AV performance.

This will be set up through the duration of the night and through a live camera feed will provide an interactive projection with every member of the audience being a part of its direct and manipulated feed.

In support we’ve also invited one of favourite Indian acts and dare we say it, one of the bands we’ve been longing to get back since their debut show with us back in 2012, Snowshoe. A downtempo and electronica project from Sky Rabbit lead guitarist Rahul Nadkarni and drummer Harsh Karangale.

In support is the ever-consistent Wild City DJ, warming up proceedings, who’ll be playing a mix of electronica, hip-hop, downtempo, house, techno and grime.

About: Audio Pervert & Toymob
Better known to some as electronic live outfit Teddy Boy Kill consisting of Ashhar Farooqui and Samrat Bee, Audio Pervert and Toymob create music that pulls towards many conflicting and opposing genres.

There is a profound quality about this partnership (especially when watching live) that gives their music a very distinctive heart and depth. Proud to be independent of any record label and giving away all their music for free via their SoundCloud, Teddy Boy Kill have released one full length LP in the shape of ‘The Exit Plan’ and numerous singles to date.

This Spring Audio Pervert will be releasing his long awaited 20 track LP 'Dark Robot' featuring collaborations with 14 musicians from across India.

About: Snowshoe
SnowShoe is a studio project helmed by Sky Rabbit’s lead guitarist, Rahul Nadkarni. Built from scratches put down over the years, the moody, sixty minute set has moved to the stage with a mash up of samplers, loops and live instruments. The two-piece live outfit also features fellow Sky Rabbit member, Harsh Karangale on drums.

Chosen for its references to cats and big, lonely expanses of snow, SnowShoe bridges ambient and alternative styles, allowing the listener to enter a drifting world that’s at the heart of the music.
