Martin Stimming was born in Giessen, Germany. Playing various instruments like violin, piano and drums when he was 10 years, discovering electronic music 5 years after. DJ Krush and Grooverider provided his introduction into this new electronic sound dimension. About a year later he came upon techno. At this time he was living in Butzbach, a small town near Frankfurt – influenced very much from Chris Liebing and Sven Vaeth, starting to djing and buying vinyl. He soon realized that for him making music was more fullfilling than "just" playing a groove, or mixing a record, so he started to take his production seriously and moved to Hamburg to attend SAE (School of Audio Engineering). Music had become the most important thing in his life. For 2 years, he was the producer part of the Gebrueder Ton, and in this time he befriended Diynamic (a record label from Solomun and Adriano). Stimming's debut on Diynamic was Diynamic 006 Feuervogel EP, which he produces together with Solomun.
Monophonik is the solo project of Mumbai based electronic music producer Shatrunjai Dewan. Having formally trained in classical piano and studied audio engineering, he now combines skillset of the two, creating a reservoir of fresh sounding, uplifting electronic music, infused with melody, grove, and the rawness of analog synthesizers. He takes a unique approach in performing his music live, believing that electronic music, like any other pop/rock music, can be performed live, without having to playback pre-recorded audio. He is able to achieve this by re-creating sounds in real time with the help of a combination of analog modular synthesizers, which are used in his live show.
VRIDIAN is an electronic music project based out of New Delhi, India. Crafting together melancholic melodies and driving grooves, this project is the brainchild of music producer Vir RC. Having explored a wide spectrum of dance music since its start with Siddhant Jain in 2017, VRIDIAN now hovers everywhere in, around and between free form electronica, deep house and melodic techno.
During its brief stint in Vancouver, the project became a resident at the city's acclaimed after-hours nightclub ‘Gorg-O-Mish’. Upon his return, VRIDIAN has covered ground across India, sharing line ups with names such as ATEQ, Djuma Soundsystem, Dave Seaman, Drunken Kong, Isolee, Joyce Muniz, Lost Desert, Martin Roth, Pete Oak and Telepopmusik. Inspired by a versatile range of musical influences and a sure-shot passion for the craft of DJing, VRIDIAN is also striving in his time in the studio with releases on international imprints such as Traum Schallplatten, Nie Wieder Schlafen and Dream Culture.
Bombay-based Dreamstates has a hazy approach to house and techno. Driven by 4x4 patterns, spanning breakbeat, acid, afro, disco and outsider house, but not afraid to stray into a deeper, more unnerving sound - with an eye on what the moment calls for. A Dreamstates night is usually a colourful and varied journey. A resident DJ on Boxout.fm, he also runs a monthly podcast series, aptly titled 'Cosmic Claps', created keeping in mind those introspective moments when you need an undulating beat to keep you going. This is music that seeps into your subconscious. Think shades of house, hints of techno and a touch of the eclectic – always arriving while constantly in an urgent state of departure.
Aditya Jaiswal is a deep tech and techno DJ from Mumbai.
