Lapgan

Lapgan

Chicago-based archivist and producer Lapgan has become renowned for his signature style: unearthing rare and forgotten Indian & Pakistani sounds and recontextualising them into hip-hop and dance beats that evoke J Dilla and Madlib. He has cultivated a reputation for quietly revolutionary sample-work across his beloved solo projects 'History' and 'Duniya Kya Hai', as well as 'LAFANDAR', his critically acclaimed team-up with Heems (of Das Racist / Swet Shop Boys).
