Yoko Ono Art Exhibition & Performance In Delhi
14 January 2012
World famous peace activist, artist, musician and widow of John Lennon, Yoko Ono arrived in Delhi earlier this week to open her first exhibition in India called Our Beautiful Daughters at the Vadehra Art Gallery. The multi media show is formed of seven exhibits and are interactive, encouraging participation from spectators.
Yoko Ono will also hold a live performance To India With Love on Sunday 15 January at the Stein Auditorium - Indian Habitat Centre (limited invitations are available at the programmes desk). Her live shows vary dramatically with the direction and focus based on the feeling she gets from the audience. Previous performances include a show where members of the audience were encouraged to cut away pieces of her clothes with scissors.
Ono's last visit to India was in the 1970's when she came with her husband John Lennon.

Our Beautiful Daughters will run until 10 March at the Vadehra Art Gallery, D-178 Okhla Phase 1, New Delhi. The gallery is open Mon - Sat 11am-7pm and can be found tucked behind the Canon showroom.
