JAFA releases debut single 'Two Thousand Eighteen'

Singer-songwriter and producer Ananya Jafa, who goes by JAFA, recently released her debut single ‘Two Thousand Eighteen’ exploring themes of teenage love, loss, angsty relationships, nostalgia and emotional fragility.

The song is reminiscent of the highs and lows of emotionally charged relationships and the melancholy of heartbreak. Its haunting melody and evocative lyrics capture the bittersweet essence of love’s complexities. The singer’s soulful voice and a crescendo towards the end convey the pain and longing that often accompany such experiences, making it a poignant and relatable piece of music.

The music video for the single comprises a collection of hazy frames and images that portray ordinary moments within a romantic relationship, akin to scenes typically shared on social media.
