Reel Long Overdub Releases Fundraiser Compilation Featuring Monophonik, Kohra, Zequenx, FILM & More

Indian producer-composer Shatrunjai Dewan aka Monophonik has compiled a 10-track release for the London-based label Reel Long Overdub with 'Reel Small World: India भ​ा​र​त', which was recently released in its entirety. The album kicks off the label's 'Reel Small World' series, with the proceeds from the release going to Salaam Baalak Trust, a Delhi-based charity supporting street kids through shelter, education and vocational training.

Featuring Hiranya, GoodMostlyBad, Nikhil Kaul aka Frame/Frame's new moniker Angus 12, Monophonik, Prismer, Kohra, Zequenx, Rafiki, FILM and Zero State Kid, the 10-track compilation offers a snapshot of India's dance music producers with cuts leaning towards jungle and techno with a hint of ambient and trance. Among them all, GoodMostlyBad's percussion subtleties-rich bassline-led offering 'My Neck, My Back, My Panic Attack', Rafiki's pulsating acid outing '4cid' and Kohra's ever-intricate genre-merging musicality on 'Indrajaal' provide notable high points.
