IndiEarth XChange Invites Applications From Young Musicians For Indie100
29 October 2015
***Update: the deadline to apply for Indie100 has been extended to 9 November 2015***
IndiEarth XChange 2015 is a 3-day trade event for music, film and media that’s set to take place between at 27-29 November at the Vivanta by Taj-Connemara in Chennai. The team is inviting applications from young bands this year for a great new initiative that aims to provide a platform for young aspiring musicians to record original music professionally.
This years edition – the event’s fourth so far – sees Chennai based label and audio-visual production company EarthSync join forces with The Queensland University of Technology for the Indie100 Program at IndiEarth XChange 2015 – a youth focused program that will give the rare chance for emerging independent musicians to be recorded, mixed and mastered by two expert producers. Bands will be recording their music during the 3 days of IndiEarth XChange 2015.
A total of 12 very lucky young artists will be selected for the workshop, which will be conducted by prominent Australian producers - Lachlan “Magoo” Goold and Yanto Browning.
The criteria to apply for the program is simple – it is aimed at unsigned young aspiring musicians between the age of 16 and 26, who must be from India and have a selection of original material ready to be recorded (remember, no covers allowed). Of course, they must also be available during the three days of IndiEarth XChange 2015.
