Spryk Launches India's First Interactive Online Concert With 'APEX' & 'Vitamin-E'
26 February 2021
Tejas Nair aka Spryk has launched a dedicated video game-like platform called 'Vitamin-E' which will host a live concert by the artist on March 27.
In 2019, Nair explored the themes of humanity's relation and experience with technology and the insatiable quest for excellence as part of 'APEX', a live collaborative A/V set commissioned by Magnetic Fields Festival 2019. The Mumbai-based multimedia artist and producer was slated to tour the show across the country in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the plans to cancel. Since then, Nair has adapted the show and its various aspects in different forms, namely as his performance for 'Boiler Room: Streaming From Isolation' and a 7-track music album.
Realizing the vision behind 'APEX' even further, Nair has co-developed the web browser-based custom multiplayer video game environment called 'VItamin-E' on which he will present the audio-visual show. According to the announcement: "The project has become a servant to the very questions it sought to answer, resulting in a visceral and cathartic release of the artist’s creativity."
