Midival Punditz Release Their New Album 'Light' + Share New Video

Indian electronic veterans Midival Punditz have just released their 4th studio album ‘Light’ following their launch tour across the country. The duo, made up of Tapan Raj and Gaurav Raina are still going strong since their inception back in 1997 and the release of their first album in 2002.

The outfit also put out a colourful, animated video for ‘Baanwarey’ yesterday, featuring Rajasthani singer Kutle Khan that features motifs from their album art. The energetic folk inspired song and video can be viewed here on Pepsi MTV Indies.

Raina tells us, “When we were writing these songs the visual that came to us was ‘light,’ larger than life light. Light is one of the most important elements to our visualizing this album. It was there the entire time from the beginning to the end of the album.” Adding that the album was conceived in their live shows and is meant to be played in its entirety.
