Listen: The F16’s ‘Nobody’s Gonna Wait’ EP

4 December 2014

The F16's have just gotten back from New York after recording at Brooklyn based studio Converse Rubber Tracks with a mini two track EP ‘Nobody’s Gonna Wait’ that packs a massive punch. The quintet made their way to The Big Apple after winning the road to converse Rubber Tracks contest back in May. You can read more about their journey here.

The opportunity gave the band a chance to record live in a studio for the first time, instead of digitally stitching together individually recorded bits and pieces like they’ve been doing in the past. Under the mentorship of producer Aaron Bastinelli, both tracks on the album are packaged with absolute finesse –‘Nobody’s Gonna Wait’ sounds like it’s been recorded by a band with real experience, not by a group of young Chennai based musicians who started out only 2 years ago.

The EP also sees some of the best lyrics and composition by the band so far. We loved the cleverly constructed words and change of pace in ‘Jacuzzi’ at the 1:50 mark. Blackboard might be our favourite song by the F16’s to date with its epic feel and fiery finale. This is a great little EP, which is worth more than just one listen.

‘Nobody’s Gonna Wait’ is embedded below. Follow the F16’s on Facebook and Soundcloud for updates and download the EP for free here on Bandcamp.
