Diynamic Records Release 'Empire Waste' by Blot! Feat. Lifafa

26 November 2014

BLOT! should need no introduction by now. A pioneer of the Indian underground electronic scene, they've got bucketfuls of talent, musical and otherwise. With their new release in collaboration with Lifafa on Solomun’s iconic Diynamic record label, it seems that we’re not the only one’s who think so.

The German label has included a track called ‘Empire Waste’ on their latest various artist EP called ‘Four To The Floor’, which features vocals by one of our favourite Delhi artists and member of Peter Cat Recording Co. - Suryakant Sawhney, whose solo project goes by the name Lifafa. This isn’t the first time Sawhney has collaborated with Malaker – they’ve teamed up in the past with the Dewarists, releasing a beautiful track called ‘Aina’.

Malaker got in touch with the massive label (founded by Adriano Trolio and House giant Solomun back in 2006) the old fashioned way – by sending them a demo email.

According to their press release, “the Hamburg house stable is unleashing a brand new series of four Various Artists Eps called 'Four To The Floor' - the kick-off sees four EPs, four tracks each, focusing on the dancefloor. The names included along the way are largely exciting new producers who are being welcomed into the label fold for the first time and each of the four new EPs will be released roughly two weeks apart, starting November 10th.”

BLOT! and Lifafa have released a snipped from ‘Empire Waste’, which you can listen to below. This a deep dance track that feature’s Sawhney’s jarringly beautiful voice imprinted over layers of synth and bold key work. It’s really well produced and as the label stated – ‘it sounds fresh and exciting at the same time fits in nicely with the Diynamic vibe overall”

Malaker is also in the process of creating an intriguing new music video, pictured above. Listen to a snipped of ‘Empire Waste’ below. You can buy the entire EP here on Beatport.
