Listen: New Sounds From GRAIN – ‘Grey To Silver’

One half of veteran Indian electronic imprint and a trailblazer in the scene since the Midival Punditz formed back in 1997 - Gaurav Raina, is set to release his debut solo LP as GRAIN, titled ‘Grey To Silver’. And we’ve got the first snippet from the title track right here, for your listening pleasure.

‘Grey To Silver’ has been in the production process for a while now – he released this video with Shaa’ir aka Monica Dogra back in 2012. The album will drop on 19 September – not much longer now.

‘Grey To Silver’ is a complex, refined and frankly surprising take on modern electronic pop – a marked sonic departure from the sounds that came out of Midival Punditz in the past. Featuring collaborations with big names in the industry such as Karsh Kale, Monica Dogra, Anoushka Shankar, Ankur Tewari, Brooklyn Shanti and vocalist Talia Bentson, Raina takes a dark turn with ‘Grey To Silver’ producing some moody and atmospheric sounds.
