Monsoonsiren Releases Snippet For Upcoming Movie Score

15 September 2014

Nathan Menon is on everyone’s radar.

The prodigious young producer has been dropping stray tracks and mixes on his Facebook page and SoundCloud since last year, maintaining a quality of sound most musicians take years to achieve. He’s had a frenetic year - Berlin based label Project: Mooncircle recognised Menon’s vast reserves of talent after his debut collaborative EP with Tom Day (more details here) and more recently, his single with Seattle based electronic giants ODESZA - ‘Memories That You Call’ hit over a million views last week – a landmark for any musician, let alone a mildly idiosyncratic Bangalore based 20 year old with an affinity for cats.

Based on the information we gathered from Monsoonsiren’s social networking platforms, his latest venture is creating a musical score for a (yet to be revealed) movie. The track had been released in the past, removed and re-uploaded due to popular demand – we’re pretty happy Menon ‘succumbed to pleas’ because this one’s a stunner.

The untitled snippet is a contemplative piece that sticks to the essentials - string and Menon’s indescribably beautiful falsetto create a stripped down track that packs big emotion in a tiny package. We’re waiting to find out what its visual accompaniment will be, but knowing Monsoonsiren, it probably won’t let us down.
