MAX URB_N UN-MUTE Invites Rappers To Perform Alongside Reble, Asal Kolaar, Siyaahi & More

MAX Fashion and Homegrown have launched the third edition of MAX URB_N UN-MUTE, a culture platform built around India's rap and hip-hop scene, with a run through 5 cities that continues till October.

As part of the double-pronged platform, The UN-MUTE Rap Hunt invites entries for a nationwide talent search, while The UN-MUTE Rap Tour showcases the talent alongside the country's prominent hip-hop acts at different cities. The entrants record a freestyle or a cover of Siddhant Chaturvedi's 'Naya New' and post it to Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, tag @maxurbn.india and #MaxUrbnUnmute, and submit the link through the MAX URB_N UN-MUTE website. Shortlisted artists get called into a city cypher on the day of the concert there, and the cypher winner takes the stage alongside that city's headliners.

The first edition of MAX URB_N UN-MUTE for this year took place in August in Kochi, headlined by ThirumaLi and Lil PAYYAN. Ahead of the main stage, emerging artists battled it out at a pre-cypher hosted by Karupp Records, Max's community partner for Kochi, for the chance to share the stage with the headliners. Alongside the artist performances, audiences experienced live graffiti by Lefthander, an energetic dance performance by Movemental Crew, a clothing drop by MAX, and clothing customisation by The Art Curry.

The tour picks up again on 3 October in Bengaluru, at Phoenix Marketcity, Whitefield, with Reble headlining alongside Spotify Rap 91 artist Rahul Dit-O, with support from MC Bijju. Pune follows on 10 October at Phoenix Avenue of Stars with Sambata. Delhi's stop lands 17 October at Vegas Mall, Dwarka, with Reble again headlining, Siyaahi in support, and Vichaar, Karun and Nanku on the bill. Chennai closes the tour on 24 October at Express Avenue Mall, with Asal Kolaar headlining alongside Spotify Rap 91 act Dacalty. City winners from the ongoing contest round are still to be confirmed for each stop.

Each stop features a customisation zone, merch, live graffiti, dance showcases and F&B pop-ups from local vendors built in alongside the music. The platform's curation draws on artists, creators and community voices from India's hip-hop scene to help scout and spotlight the talent moving through it, and select cities will also host standalone cypher activations as an offline, wildcard entry point into the contest.
