Listen: Shaa’ir & Func's Latest Release ‘Re:cover’

One of our favourite Indian indie veterans Shaa’ir & Func have treated fans this morning to a stream (you can buy it too) of their latest release ‘Re:cover’. The 8 track LP features some of their older material which they’ve covered with a minimal more acoustic sound. An album for your body to recover to, music for the morning after and with a very apt title.

“It’s been fun to revisit, reinterpret, re-record our material throughout the process of creating this album. We have been jamming on acoustic versions of our own songs and realised that they sound really good and so we decided to lay it down and put it out as something special dedicated to our fans.”

We’re especially loving this version of ‘Freedom’ which features vocals from Func – apparently we’ll be hearing a lot more of his voice on their upcoming album which is completing production at the end of this month.
