MTV Announces Bloc Party

This morning, MTV announced 'MTV Bloc Party'. A two day festival which from 18-19 January will provide Mumbaikars with a city wide selection of events all accessible under one banner (and one ticket).
While the main venue for the string of events will be Juhu Hotel, Mumbai will also come alive at night to host 'Night Bloc', a selection of 3 events spread out across the city.
Programmed by Submerge, the line up is well, as expected tailored more towards artists who represent genres such as house, techno and trance. The one surprise booking on a brief glance at the line up however is glitch-hop wonder kid Opiuo.
It's no secret that glitch-hop is one of the fastest rising genres in India and many other countries across the globe. With domestic artists' productions gradually incorporating more of its influences within their work, as well as superstars within the genre such as Koan Sound visiting India to tour, Opiuo comes as a welcome booking.
Other artists on the line up include Alesso, Deniz Koyu, Cosmo Klein, Jean Elan, Simon Dunmore, Pearl, Arjun Vagale, Lost Stories and BREED just to name a few.
