Sijya's 'Young Love' Features Remixes By Pale Blue Dotter, Dolorblind, A Temporary Matter, Rounak Maiti & More

In December last year, Sijya released her debut EP 'Young Hate' via British music visionary Matthew Herbert's Accidental Records to wide critical acclaim. The New Delhi composer-producer and visual artist has now expanded upon her meticulous multi-layered compositions through a set of 7 remixes on the just-released EP 'Young Love'.

New Delhi producer-designer Rohan Sinha aka Dolorblind's noise-adjacent remix of 'Stonefruit' sits stylistically in tandem with the ambient follow-up by US-based Dominic Voz, who works with 'Another Thing'. Meanwhile, a sparse, abstract and undeniably interesting rework of '52' by Swiss act Yanik Soland punctuates the dancefloor-ready remixes by British artist Crewdson and New Delhi-based singer-songwriter-producer Rounak Maiti.

To bring a stylistically rich but cohesively flowing long form to a close, debuting live electronica duo A Temporary Matter and experimental producer Pale Blue Dotter both do separate reworks of the sombre distorted number 'Tell Me'. The former merges glitch and elements of rock while the latter creates a partially-atonal assembly of piano plucks, dynamic noises and sweeping basic tones.

DISCLOSURE: A Temporary Matter member Amaan Khan also serves as the editor at The Wild City.
