Shiva Squad Festival Announces Full Lineup

It’s time to take those unused hiking shoes out of the closet and prepare yourselves for another festival in the hills with the 2014 edition of the Shiva Squad festival that will take place on 25, 26 and 27 September at the Morpheus Valley Resort in Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

The self described ‘intelligent dance music festival’ emerged from the psychedelic trance label that created it – Shiva Squad Records. This year’s edition is particularly exciting as the festival will, apart from their regular Psy stage, see an alternative stage which will feature some interesting performances by artists under many genres ranging from indie and folk to metal.

Some of the highlights include Polish post rock band Tides from Nebula, Delhi based electronia outfit FuzzCulture, blues and funk band Soul’d Out and alternative rock band The Circus among many more talented acts.

The 3 day music festival will also host many more attractions that should keep concert goers occupied between performances such as food courts, bars, a gaming parlour, open air theatres, a flea market, UV body painting and tattoo studio and even VIP lounges with butlers (really).

Despite the slightly odd mishmash of events, the festival seems to be well organised and equipped and its pretty, verdant location only helps. Tickets are a reasonably prices Rs 2500 (available here). The entire lineup and details for the event can be found on their Facebook page, event and website.
