Listen: 'Mala In Cuba' Full Stream

11 September 2012

Dubstep veteran Mala’s highly anticipated first full-length album, ‘Mala in Cuba’ was released yesterday on Brownswood. A preview stream of the album in full was revealed on The Fadar last week alongside a revealing interview about how it came together:

“The experience of visiting these countries and meeting the people, that’s worth more than anything. It doesn’t get much realer than this (...) I want to go around to different countries capturing people’s energy,” Mala explained. “There are still so many dimensions left to discover at this tempo. I’m just getting started.”

The album sees Mala travel to Cuba under the wing of producer and DJ, Gilles Peterson. Collaborating with local Cuban musicians, the DMZ founder makes the case for truly innovative, global electronic music. We're hoping this record may well be capable of breathing new life into the rather stagnant dubstep scene.
