Dub Phizix Announced As Next Headline Act For BASS CAMP Festival

It's that time of year again.
BASS CAMP this morning announced their full line up to October's edition of the 3-city festival to be held from Oct 26-28 in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore. An ongoing monthly series, it will exclusively host international headliners all representing genres such as drum and bass, dubstep and glitch.
It comes as no surprise then that their first headliner choice kick starting the series is Manchester based drum and bass producer Dub Phizix. A producer that over the last year has dominated the drum and bass scene from the very moment the world first viewed the promo video to his December 2011 release 'Marka' (video below). Penned by Dub Phizix alongside regular collaborator Skeptical with guest vocals from Strategy, 'Marka' adhered to no known recent stylistic formulas. Easily the drum and bass track of 2011, 'Marka' married staccato dancehall like rhythms with slamming bass hits and Strategys unintelligible but potent rhymes.
With a back-catalogue now spanning over 10 years, Dub Phizix has released music on high profile and respected labels such as Exit, Commercial Suicide, Soul:R, Critical, Dispatch and Ingredients with Mixmag calling his music 'Essential material'. Although he may be a fresh face to many, Dub Phizix' DJ sets always display his depth of knowledge of what makes a great drum and bass track, mixing up often neglected classics with the freshest upfront material.
