India Goes 3D Announced

27 March 2012

India Goes 3D is definitely a festival to keep on your radar. Based on the model of the German music platform, Germany Goes 3D – India Goes 3D will also incorporate music conferences, workshops and performances that will travel to the 3 Indian cities of Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi at the end of April.

The most exciting element of the event is the 3D content. BLOT! are creating India’s first stereoscopic AV electronica tour where audiences will don 3D specs and experience immersive projections and décor around the venue. There will also be other opportunities to use your blue and red glasses during the festival with 3D print popping up all over the place.

The three German acts that have been announced for the festival are Coma, Ada and Daniel Haaksman. They will be performing across the country with Nucleya, Vachan Chinnappa, BLOT!, DJ Uri, Jitter and Arjun Vagale. (see events for further info).

For those of you in the music industry or with an interest in music production the conferences and workshops will offer a valuable opportunity to interact and share with leading figures in the contemporary electronica music world from both Germany and India. Speakers will include representatives from leading organisations such as Soundcloud.

Of course it is not possible to have so much of an Indo-German vibe going on without the Goethe Institut having a hand! India Goes 3D is also part of the Infinite Opportunities programme that has so far seen some interesting musical and cultural collaborations in India.
