Bloomsbury Open Call For Music Writers

30 January 2012

Editors of the music book series 33 1/13 are inviting writers to submit proposals about a favourite album.

The series started in 2003 and each volume focusses on one popular music album of the last 20/30 years. Books in the series so far have taken a wide range of approaches including volumes about Unknown Pleasures, OK Computer and Entroducing.

This year, the hunt is on for stories that explore the history of popular music that haven't been told too often (if at all), and for perspectives that will broaden and develop the discipline of writing about music. Proposals will only be considered for books about any album that hasn't already been covered in the series or already under contract - check the complete list here with previews available.

Proposals will be accepted between 19 March - 30 April 2012.
