philterSoup With Karshni Releases Interactive Music Video Ahead Of Album Release

Mumbai-based music producer Sanjay Das aka philterSoup has just announced his debut album 'LIGHTS ON', culminating a decade-long musical exploration through occasional singles, leftfield live sets and behind-the-scenes work for other indie artists as well as productions for OTT platforms. Releasing on August 22, the album has been introduced with the single 'I know you're here with me', featuring Karshni.

The track pairs Karshni's characteristic poetically emotive songwriting and delivery, this time about longing and attachment, with the dynamic rhythms of UK Garage. Above the well-fitted combination of the two, the boldness philterSoup opts for in the grit of the guttural low-end and the contrast he creates with pristine Bonobo-esque kalimba-decorated short breakdowns uplift the dancefloor-energy of the track and its hooks of chopped vocal samples above the kitsch into a dynamic layered listen.

'I know you're here with me' also comes with an interactive lyrics visualiser that responds to the viewer's touch (if experienced on a touchscreen device like most phones) or cursor movement (if experienced on devices like most laptops/desktops).
