Tienas, Fenifina, RAK, 3bhk & Dhiraaj Collaborate On Single 'Project Air.Wav'

Rappers Tienas from Mumbai, Tamil Nadu's RAK and Mumbai/Toronto-based FeniFina have collaborated on the track 'Project Air.Wav' which sees 3BHK and Dhiraaj on production duties.

The collaboration happens as part of 'Co-Sign', a music and culture initiative by the sneaker and streetwear brand Superkicks. Though that means the track is coloured by mentions of the brand's Air Max sneakers—from finding a mention in the refrain's pay-off line to inspiring the title of the work—it does benefit from pairing artists with highly complementary styles as they take turns delivering verses in English, Marathi, and Tamil.

Even the producers reflect the variety in their contributions, underscoring the hip-hop track with stripped elements of baile funk. Altogether, the combination results in a raw and rousing reflection of where the artists have come from and the path they have carved for themselves along the way – highlighting the distinctness in their language, identity and roots while finding a shared culture within which the track operates.

As part of the Superkicks' Co-Sign initiative, the track comes accompanied by a behind-the-scenes documentary around its making and an exclusive listening party at Mumbai's Iron Buzz Tattoo Studio on March 26.
