Jazz Weekender Announces Thee Marloes, Daoud, Noon & More For 3rd Edition

Jazz Weekender, the international live celebration that takes place at New Delhi's 1AQ Mehrauli, has just announced the artists for its upcoming third edition which takes place on September 28-29.

Among the artists set to perform are Big Crown Records signees Surprise Chef from Australia and Thee Marloes from Indonesia. Joining them will be NNAVY from Switzerland, whose soulful and emotive voice has garnered international acclaim, including performances at prestigious festivals like Montreux Jazz. Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange from Germany will add to the dynamic atmosphere with their unique fusion of jazz and dance music. New York-based Japanese artist Nao Yoshioka who will bring her modern twist to the classic sounds of soul to the festival.

The lineup also features Saskia Laroo from the Netherlands, who is often referred to as Europe’s “Lady Miles Davis.” Her energetic performances fuse jazz, funk, hip-hop, and world music. Representing the French new jazz scene, Daoud will bring his innovative compositions that blend influences from hip-hop, Italian house and modern jazz. From the UAE, NOON will return to India with their distinctive global sound that blends the traditional oud with jazz, funk, and electronic elements, creating a performance that resonates with contemporary audiences.

India's premier jazz band Syncopation will also perform at the festival alongside Sol Sundae, the multi-genre group blending soul, R&B, hip-hop, reggae, and African-American gospel music. Rounding out the lineup will be The GMI Ensemble, representing the best from India's pillaring music education centre Global Music India, bringing musicians from India, Spain, and Brazil.

Representing over 15 nationalities with this lineup, Jazz Weekender will bring together the artists under 1AQ's iconic Banyan tree canopy to celebrate jazz and genres the modern-day jazz listening experience, such as neo-soul, R&B, hip-hop, fusion, funk, groove, and more. Alongside the performances, the festival will feature a vibrant flea market, diverse culinary experiences, and exclusive F&B experiences to enhance the event which saw around 3000 live music fans come together in each of its previous editions.
