Call For Applications: NH7 Periphery Art Project

11 August 2016

Bacardi NH7 Weekender has just announced a very interesting new addition to their 3-city festival tour this year called the ‘Periphery Art Project’, which has our curiosity piqued.

Described as a ‘a unique theme based travelling exhibit’, the project is inviting applications designers, illustrators, typographers, artists and print makers to journey to Shillong, Pune and Hyderabad and showcase their work.

The application process is fairly simple, all you need to do is send in 3 of what you think are your best work samples in a jpeg format, along with a brief note about you and your work to nh7artprojects@oml.in by 18 August. The NH7 team will get back to shortlisted applicants by 23 August with more details about the theme of the exhibit and how it works. The applicants will then be expected to send in a fresh piece of art based on the theme by 5 September.

NH7 will pay each artist for their work as a "token of appreciation", and will also provide two Bacardi NH7 Weekender tickets to one of 8 cities: Shillong, Hyderabad and Pune - where you can get the full NH7 experience – or Kolkata, Pondicherry, Mysore, Nagpur and Jaipur for the one day mini-fest. Selected artists will also get mentioned across NH7’s social media platforms and be featured on the official visual artists line-up poster.

The deadline for the first round of applications is 18 August. Email nh7artprojects@oml.in with your work to be considered.
