Listen: Cranknob Releases ‘Black To White’ EP

29 June 2016

Delhi based crossover producer Cranknob releases sophomore 5-track EP ‘Black To White’ inspired by the stages of depression. The producer’s music has been influenced by the heavier sides of electronica, bass, rock.

We’re not quite sure where the name came from, but Khan began his solo project in 2011 when he was living in London, as a sort of alter ego. ‘Black to White’ is a musical expression of his struggles with depression.

“The emotion I felt during the time inspired each song and their lyrics; though it was only later that I logically pieced this puzzle together. What came as a result was an honest sonic expression, dabbling in and crossing between the different genres that have influenced my music over the years. Depression is a serious and gripping condition, and I hope the music and lyrics resonate with people who have experienced this.” – Ahmer Khan

Cranknob’s music is rock-influenced electronica, with hints of pop. You can listen to the whole thing below and follow the artist on Facebook for further information and website for updates.
