Karshni & philterSoup Release Collaborative Single 'Long Gone'

"I'm losing all my friends // I lost one yesterday". Few opening lines land as directly on the heart as these from Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Karshni and producer Sanjay Das aka philterSoup's latest collaboration 'Long Gone'.

Though the pair has collaborated before, notably recently for live shows, this particular one reels in the more leftfield edge of the producer and adds a more elaborate musical backing to the singer-songwriter's usually straightforward arrangements. What the cliche of the pulsating pumping constant bassline takes away from the impact, the space between the refreshing vocal lyricism, the detuned synth layers and peripheral percussion add to the atmosphere.
