Sid Sriram Releases New Single 'Do The Dance' & Announces Tour With Bon Iver

Musical multi-hyphenate Sid Sriram will be following his 2019 album 'Entropy' with the follow-up 'Siddharth' later this year after amassing notable following additionally through his playback and collaborative work over the years. The Chennai-born artist gives a taste of the upcoming album through the single 'Do The Dance'.

Decorated by washes of horn lines and guitar noodling while led by emotionally-rich drums, basslines and the star of the show: Sid Sriram's vocal harmonies, the single rests upon strong songwriting that paints pictures as much as it rousingly declares what it finds through introspection. Its creation was helped by, among others, the prominent American group Bon Iver's Justin Vernon.

Sid recounts: "I still vividly remember my second day ever in Minneapolis, being in Ryan Olson’s studio with him, Chris Bierden, Justin Vernon and Aaron Baum. As they landed on this chord progression, there was this magical, palpable joy pulsing through the room. The same joy flowed powerfully through every phase of creating this song."

Sid also joins Bon Iver for 5 shows on their tour across America in August.
