Jazz Weekender Announces Triorität, Tribemama Marykali, Gino Banks x Rhythm Shaw & More

Last week, Wild City, boxout.fm, Gatecrash, Jazz In India and Art Unites partnered together to announce 'Jazz Weekender', a 3-day live experience taking place around International Jazz Day at New Delhi's 1AQ between April 29 – May 1.

The multi-day has just announced its lineup which includes Indian jazz drumming frontrunner Gino Banks with burgeoning guitarist Rhythm Shaw, meteorically-rising alternative R&B force Tribemama Marykali, funk/jazz collective The Revisit Project, music traditions-traversing duo Boi Akih, energetic Bangalore band T.il Apes, veteran session musicians and jazz-punk group The Jass B'stards, New Delhi jazz group Four + 1, guitarist-producer Raj and genre-bending group Pakshee. The array of homegrown talent will also be joined by the exciting Berlin trio Triorität, who are known for melding 70s fusion with disco and hip-hop to create a melange that has been described as modern "dancefloor-jazz".

The live acts will be supplemented with a DJ garden featuring selectors spinning music from the adjacent genres, a flea market, and pop-ups and bars featuring cocktails and beverages from brands like Bira, Greater Than and Jack Daniel's.
