Mad Decent Block Party India To Feature Major Lazer, Gorgon City And More

This is big. Diplo’s Mad Decent record label has announced that they will be bringing their famed Mad Decent Block Party to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore next month with Sunburn Festival and Oji. The lineup so includes Major Lazer, Gorgon City, Big Gigantic, Giraffage, Nucleya and Naezy x Divine.
The multi-city Mad Decent Block Party tour began in 2008 on a small scale with only a rented tent, dunk tank and bbq in Philadelphia, subsequently expanding to a number of cities in the U.S. before announcing their landmark edition in India. Diplo has stated his love of performing in India before (even filming the hugely popular ‘Lean On’ here during his tour), so we’re not particularly surprised he’s back with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire as Major Lazer.
Joining the trio will be UK based garage duo and Black Butter Records signees Gorgon City, live electronic act Big Gigantic, R&B and trap talent Giraffage, Nucleya and Naezy X Divine, with more names on the way.
