Monsoonsiren To Release EP On Project: Mooncircle. Puts Up Free Download

8 August 2014

20 year-old Nathan Menon a.k.a Monsoonsiren is probably the most mysterious young producer on the Indian scene.

Last year his collaboration with Tom Day resulted in what is possibly the most exciting international collaboration to happen in recent times. 'Love Is Rare' was a masterpiece in which Menon displayed exceptional musical and particularly vocal ability.

What had been secret until now, was his true production capability, but not any more.

Last night, he announced to the world that his debut EP will be coming out on Berlin based label Project: Mooncircle. The iconic imprint also simultaneously announced the release via social media by saying "Some of you will remember the song 'Elegiac' by Tom Day from our latest compilation 'Uprising'. The wonderful voice belongs to Monsoonsiren from Bengaluru, India, who will release an EP with us this coming December. To give you a little foretaste we have this free download for you."

Titled 'Paper Tiger' the track is awash with shuffling percussion, sweeping chords and echoes of airy vocals and light melodic flourishes. All in all it makes for a stunning official debut release and an alluring effort from the budding producer. We're certainly all ears.

A full stream of 'Paper Tiger' can be heard below before the EP drops in December.
