BASSFoundation Return To India Next Month
26 August 2013
India's pioneering dubstep and D&B collective, BASSFoundation will once again be heading over to India, to revive what feels like an almost dead bass music scene (at least in Delhi).
Formed in early 2009 by DJ's Big Daddy Klein and Praxis alongside Delhi Sultanate, BASSFoundation were one of the first crews to promote various sub-genres of bass music in India. Almost 4 years on, they've got a regular in the heart of East London and are being invited to play festivals across the European summer circuit.
Representing the crew, Praxis will be playing 4 shows across India alongside Delhi Sultanate, so if you're mixing your fix of dubstep and drum and bass, it's time to rejoice.
"I'm really excited to be coming back to India for this tour having been away for well over half a year. Although the London BASSFoundation nights are going strong, nothing compares to the reception we get in India, which is our real home. Things have moved on a lot in the couple of years since I was living in India full-time, and particularly so for underground bass music (...) The fact that we're off to play on a dedicated 'India at Outlook' boat party later this week at Outlook Festival in Croatia is a testament to that." - Praxis
