Wild City & 50 Weapons Bring Phon.o To India

50 Weapons in cohorts with Wild City and Miller are proud to present the debut Indian tour of Berlin based Phon.o.
A-first-of-its-kind event in India, this evening will be co-hosted by 50 Weapons, a prolific and pioneering Berlin based label run by the world renown German techno duo, Modeselektor.
"No other artist typifies the wide-open playing field that electronic music has become in recent years better than Modeselektor. A bold claim surely, but one that comes backed with plenty of evidence now that they have left the BPitch mothership and begun to literally put their money where their taste is with two record labels, Monkeytown and 50 Weapons."
The duo have released dubstep, techno, house and electro to the wider world. Many are artists that have already made a name elsewhere, but just as many aren't. The aforementioned Phon.o is on route to becoming a household name thanks to his recent album (listen below) that came out of the label to much critical acclaim.
Phon.o started to play records with Apparat in the early 90s far in the darkest reaches of the ruff'n'tuff Harz mountains, in former East Germany. For his live and DJ-sets, he manages to harness whatever stately ideals he can recall in order to deliver staunchly digital, itchy and experimental, yet deeply moving, dance-floor smashing and progressive sets.
Since the beginning of the new decade Phon.o has put his hands on remixes for Modeselektor, Boys Noize, Schlachthofbronx and Robot Koch. He also became a resident DJ for one of Berlin’s most well recognised clubs - the WMF.
In support will be Wild City’s very own, Moniker (Wild City DJ), one the country’s most forward thinking selectors. Expect a musical journey spanning house, techno, garage, electronica, grime and much much more.
